The article reports on how a mould can now be taken of the bars inside a horse’s mouth – the exact area a bit sits. For the first time, this revolutionary method allows for a bit to be fitted correctly and comfortably to the horse’s mouth conformation.

Sue Gilliatt was instrumental in developing the moulding method and her pioneering efforts and close working relationship with Bomber Nel of Bomber Bits in South Africa makes her a specialist in her field

Sue will be teaming up with Equine Dental Technicians Simon Pratley and Jess Turner. Together, they will offer a service to any client who has historical biting issues or clients who are simply over whelmed by the sheer volumes of bits available and simply want the best bit for their horse.

It is also ideal for horses that show signs of potential biting resistance through exasperating behavioural traits
